This man sits outside the bakery across the road from my house... one of the happiest people I have ever seen. He sits there day in and day out.
He is not homeless... At least, I do not think he is. But he begs. Begging is a huge thing in Bahrain, and it is a huge shame to see people in such poverty. At least people give him money, and talk to him. I think that's what makes him the happiest: the fact that people talk to him and don't treat him like a piece of nothing, to just walk past and ignore. Daily DeviationGiven 2007-07-04=VonCrowd describes Old Man and a Car by ~arabienne perfectly so I'll leave it to her: "The soft focus and colour have this dream-like quality that reminds me of the attitudes we tend to apply to people such as this man. I love how the lighting is just a sort of spotlight over him, it's perfect for the mood.

Her sustained appoggiatura was flawed by her inability to complete the roulade.
It looks like something right out of a dream, just a passing glance, everything about this photo from a technical stand point is perfect to create such mood and atmosphere.
The description is the best, a great reminder for us to appreciate what we have and remember that we can't buy or collect such peace. This man has nothing and yet he is so happy. It's enviable. Great capture. Thank you for sharing it.
